23 - How We Grow.

i think this chapter mainly talks about putting others before ourselves ':)
which is what we all should aim to do! :)
it is definitely difficult, cos there will be times
we would need to sacrifice our personal pleasures to see to the needs of others...
and that's where people falter.
because we're born selfish i guess...
it's going to take a whole lot of faith and whatnots to make any decision like tt.
but in whatever cases it may be
we must delight in the fact that God's sent us the Holy Spirit to guide us into becoming more Christlike.

we must all be a living testimony to everyone else in the world...
inspire the believers, and touch the nonbelievers, convince them to come to church.
i really believe that that's the least we can do, and yes, the best we can.
the rest, we'll leave it up to God, that in His wonders,
He will ignite the spirit in our friends to come to church :)

im really waiting and praying hard for God to work His miracles on my friends...
and yes, importantly, my family.
:)

personally, i do feel that ive grown alot..
but still, im an infant. not that i wanna be stagnant at that stage.
no, i actually hope i can grow faster and become a qualified discipler! :)
so that through the works of God, i can spread His message of Love all around..
really. i think that's the least i can do for my church Elim before i leave for sydney.
and even in sydney, i hope He will guide me to a good church where i can continue to contribute to build His army, His kingdom!
hooray!

everytime i'll think about Mother Theresa.
how she can abdicate her riches and go into simple life,
helping the needy around her.
who doesnt rever what she did? afterall, she's a saint.
but the sad thing is we all resist to becoming more like her
because we cannot bear to leave our riches and material wealth
and whatever worldly satisfactions behind..
we're all like that...and that's sad...

realised that life's really much simpler when u acknowledge that God is with us,
the Holy Spirit is in us to guide us.
all we really need to focus on is our spiritual growth,
in what ways we can give others....contribute to their growth.
do our best in our jobs...and leave the rest up to God..
really.

this line from the book, struck me:
"Yes, willpower can produce short term change, but it creates constant internal stress because you haven't dealth with the root cause."

after coming to accept Christ,
ive gradually been able to see things in a greater and more powerful light.
all thanks to God.

my resolution for the day:
establish a better relationship with the kids and do 3 good deeds! :)
Holy Spirit, guide me!!!!

honest reflections. *
